Hello SWYSC Families, 

SWYSC has opened registration for team formation and select play. Tryouts/team  placement will be held as live tryouts. Tryouts will be comprised of a 2 hour session and  consist of a combination of warm-ups, small-sided games, and larger games. Players  are evaluated and ranked by the coach and evaluators, assessing factors such as their  soccer technique, tactics, fitness, athletic ability, and attitude. 

Girls (birth years 2003-2008) 

Date: Tuesday, June 29th 

Time: 6-8pm 

Place: South Whidbey Sports Complex, Langley WA 

The select team formation: 

• The select registration event is for players with a birth years of 2003 - 2008.

• $35 registration fee is nonrefundable.  If selected for the team, the SWYSC Select registration fee is $275. 

*Please note that there is no age level associated with this select team until after tryouts and  team selection have been completed. The level depends on the final team (i.e., U16, U18 etc). 

What to Bring 

▪ Water bottle. 

▪ Goal Keepers: bring your gloves. 

▪ Medical Release Form (see attached document)

What to Wear 

▪ Cleats and shin guards (required). 

▪ Dress in layers according to weather conditions per that day. 

Other Details 

▪ Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in and start warming up (coming early allows  your son/daughter to get checked in, collect paperwork and assign them a  pinnie). 

▪ Tryouts will be a combination of skills, drills, and small sided games.

Select Team Player Pool 

Teams playing in the fall NPSL season will need to be formed by early July in order for  the teams to finalize team rosters and player team registration before the NPSL team  registration deadline.
