There's a lot of work involved in running a soccer club with hundreds of players
and dozens of teams each season. Many people understandably feel that they don't
have the expertise or desire to coach, but there's many other functions that
need to be performed to make the season work that don't require a knowledge
of the game or even a lot of time and energy. Just someone who's willing to
step up and be responsible for that job. Perhaps you're interested in doing
it for a limited time, or in conjunction with someone else. Every bit helps.

Jobs that have been filled
These jobs are taken care of, but if you're interested in taking something
over, let
us know:
- Registrar: Shawn Warwick
- The Registrar takes care of recording every player/coach's information,
recording the team assignments, and communicating all that information to
the North County Association for the Fall season. In order for our travelling
teams to play others in the Association, all this information has to be gathered,
entered into the Club computer and sent on.
- Coaching Director: Paul Arand
- Coordinates library of coaching materials. The person coaches go to with
questions and concerns. Organizes coaching clinics.
- Uniforms and Equipment: Noriko Sparkman
- Supervise check-out and check-in of uniforms to travelling teams at the
start and end of season. Help to maintain inventory of equipment. Coordinate
with League Directors to distribute balls, field markers (wassles, cones,
pennies, etc). Prepare the needed quantity of equipment bags for each League.
Administer paperwork (check-out and check-in) for team bags. For travelling
teams (U11 and older) coordinate with coaches to provide uniforms and equipment
(jerseys, shorts, etc). Collect and store equipment at the end of the season.
- Sponsor Coordinator: Stacy Madsen
- Maintain list of active sponsors. Coordinate sponsorships and banner logos.
Develop new sponsorships. Deliver team photos to sponsors.
- League Directors:
- Each league (age and gender grouping) needs someone who will help allocate
teams, coordinate coaches for that League, provide communication between
teams and the Board for the League and be present at practice and game times
for that division and make sure that there's a First Aid kit available.
- Picture Coordinator: Suzanne Neil
- Every season, teams have their pictures taken. The Picture Coordinator
works with the photo company to distribute order forms to teams, arrange
times for the photo shoots and to distribute the photos when they come back.
- T-shirts: Mary-Jane Lungren
- Each team has T-shirts printed up with sponsor logos and numbers. Someone
needs to coordinate with the Sponsor Coordinator to get artwork for logos
and colors, have the shirts printed and handle distribution prior to the
season
- Club gear: Camdyn Hamilton
- The Club sells shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles and other Club-branded
gear to raise funds. The volunteer handling this orders and organizes the
gear, organizes events to sell it and reports the Financial results through
to the Treasurer.
