from Ryan Baker at NWSC in Oak Harbor: "I will be coaching [the GU18] team and wanted to pass along that we practice Tuesday and Thursdays from 5-630 for those that might be interested in playing. They are more then welcome to come by and check it out."

"I also am trying to put together a GU13 select team. There is a good core of players, but still need more to field a team. It's my understanding after talking with a couple of parents from one of your recreational teams down there that there is no GU13 select team. I would like to have a select team at this age. If there is anyone interested in playing I would like to hear from them. There is a bit of urgency to this. I would need to know by next Wednesday the 11Th. This way I can let the players that I do have know if there will be a team or not."

Ric Dutton of the North Whidbey Soccer Club writes that their Girls U18 team has some open positions and that they will meet at Ft. Nugent Park on Thursday, May 29th from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Interested players may drop in and check out the team, participate in a light practice, and meet the players/coaches. The monthly SWYSC Board Meeting has been moved to 7:00 on Tuesday, May 27th in the Library at the Intermediate School on Maxwelton Road, due to Monday being a holiday.

Director of Coaching, Paul Arand, will be giving the last of the currently scheduled clinics to Club coaches this weekend. Specifically aimed at U6 (and perhaps U8) coaches, we'll be showing a film on coaching younger players. The clinic is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, 2:00 pm at the Community Room at the Intermediate School on Maxwelton Road. Note that this clinic was originally scheduled for Saturday.
