Are you interested in learning the most that you possibly can about the game of soccer?
Are you interested in truly understanding the many facets of the offsides rule?
Are you interested in learning whether you have a valid reason to be screaming at a ref-BAHHH, trick question...it's
NEVER appropriate to scream your head off at a ref!
Finally, are you interested in earning some extra money?
Becoming a soccer referee is the best way to learn about the game of soccer. Referees are paid for each game, and once certified, you
can referee games on and off the island and in tournaments. It's a great part-time job for adults and teens.
Please mark your calendars that there will be a referee clinic in Coupeville on March 24. This is an all-day event. You will do most of
your training online before the class. This is an Entry Level Clinic. For those who were not able to get their 5 hours of recert
training before last December, this is a great opportunity to certify for 2012.
To register, go to: http://www.wasrc.org/clinicregistration
Find the Action tab and click on the paper symbol on the line where the Coupeville Clinic is described. Clinic number is 4336 to register. You will find the clinic details by clicking on the Clinic
number. You must follow the clinic information CAREFULLY. You will need to complete all the training modules online. Know them very well, because the clinic will start with a short review and then
the test!
The SWYSC is an independent, volunteer-run organization. The club can only exist if parents, grandparents, friends, etc. step up and help keep it going.
